WEEK IN IMAGES | FIELD NOTES.
A Visual Diary
snaps from the week...
my youngest got his braces off which i was not allowed to photograph, but to document the occasion i did get a picture of me in the massage chair i will miss dearly.
my oldest son got his mountain cabin plans... eek! i can’t stop thinking about the long, beautiful process of individuation + the letting go. and what it means to watch your kids move toward their own dreams + the things that are actually theirs. so incredibly proud of this guy.
spent a quick couple of days in chapel hill/carrboro. discovered a custom perfumery + cute bookstore with a used psychology book section. the perfect places to get lost for a couple of fragrant hours.
a practice of noticing went live on the website this week, + i’ve been living with the printed version on my desk for days now. just sitting with it + practicing the practice.
the rest is just home... little glimpses of the way i see this space differently every day. the hallway i walk through, the revolving vignettes, the exterior i come + go from each day. i’m always looking down, looking up, looking all around, always seeing things in a different way from moment to moment. it’s almost become a subconscious way i have of seeing my surroundings.
then, we were listening to the her’s duo at the dinner table + my guys reminded me that they were tragically killed in a car accident back in 2019... i was sad all over again.
all in all, the good kind of full week.
xx,
michel
