“All Roads Lead Here” is an original abstract mixed media painting by Michel Van Devender, intuitive artist based in Charlotte, NC.

When I began this piece, I kept circling the idea of how life has this way of looping us back, again and again, to the same place. We think we’re forging ahead, taking the scenic route, detouring through the twists and turns, only to find ourselves right back at that familiar crossroad.

I don’t think it’s random. I don’t think it’s meaningless. Sometimes life, or God, or the universe, or whatever name you hold for the great mystery, is trying to show you something. A lesson. A truth. A message wrapped in pattern.

Maybe it’s fate. Maybe it’s your soul’s breadcrumb trail. Maybe it’s God whispering, “Look closer here.”

So pay attention to the places you keep returning to, in your art, your relationships, your own mind. There’s a reason for the repetition. There’s something waiting to be seen. Inquiry required. Always.
